Sims 3 Downloads. Searching for 'cigarettes'. Become a VIP Member and enjoy a fast, ad-free TSR + our Download Basket and Quick Download features - from $4.00. Information: The Cigarette Smoking mod gives tht sims the ability to smoke cigarettes in game. To use, in Buy mode go to Misc Decorations and purchase a pack of cigarettes for 6 simoleons, and place it on a surface(NOT the floor/ground).

If a smoking mod is released, perhaps someone could respond with an anti-smoking mod. Sims that smoke will be brooed (sims version of boo-ing someone) by groups. You can use your sim to inspire other sims to broo a smoking sim and even fight them on 2 vs 1 terms and follow them home and wreck their car and set their house on fire.

That sim will be 'convinced' to stop smoking and will appear on a sim tRUth ad that will be featured on the television channels. He will wear all black clothes and admit that his house burned down because of karma, and he will join the fight against smokers.

And then somebody can release an anti-unhealthy eating mod, and all fat people will be brooed, and everytime someone eats a burger, a crowd of people will throw lumps of fat at them. Then the can join sim 'biggest loser', and everybody can watch them shrink to normal size on simtional tv. They will all try desperately to win, as they lost their homes due to excessive laziness and an inability to work (karma (or maybe just a side effect of being obese), and the winner will join the fight against fat people. Offensive isn't it? You quoted me too soon, Simsela! I was editing my post because I thought it came across as too offensive. Let me put it this way.

I once saw a Truth Ad showing a smoker belligerently harrassing Truth Teens ( Truthagers ). Clearly he was intended to misrepresent smokers, because he spoke with profanity toward everyone. Then, one of the Truthagers pulled out a gun ( I'm not kidding ), shot the smoker, and proclaimed 'Smoking killed this man!' My post was intended as sarcasm toward this particular Truth ad that tries to inspire a hateful attitude toward smokers. And I'm still editing it, so give me a minute. Many of you are pointing out exactly why EA had such a conservative approach to TS3.

They were probably receiving flack from every side about why they should or should not include something in the game, so they left anything controversial out. Each side of any giving argument has good points, so EA attempt to make the game playable for everyone gave us the game we now have. No more baths for babies/toddlers. No skill/money for good grades in school. Cars/bikes pass though each other. No uses for a hospital except a career, births or useless medical advise for pregnant sims. Player caused death harder to do and fewer causes of death.

The list goes on and on. I personally enjoy the fact that modders in our wonderful sim community create ways to introduce aspects of real life into the game.

I applaud their talents and creativity. SURE it 'isn't that far away from coming out for the sims 3.' Okay, here's the deal. Animations for TS3 were created using a program called Granny.

That particular program costs $1200. (I'm not talking out of the top of my hat here--this is want I learned from some of the best modders in the community.) So first off, someone has to have $1200 to fork over for Granny to even begin to TRY to make custom animations.

A while back there was a HUGE discussion on MATY about adding smoking to the game. Pescado would like to add it to awesomemod at some point, if it ever becomes possible. You can rest assured that if it is ever possible and he does add it, it will also come with appropriate repercussions, including moodlets for smoking the cigarette, walking into a smoke-filled room, and any other moodlet that would be applicable. He will also add appropriate diseases. But we all know not everyone 'pays' for their stuff on the internet.

*Is completely entertained too. And lights a cigarette while reading.* Yes, smoking is a bad habit. I completely agree.

But more things REAL people do to themselves are bad for their health. Let your fantasy do the trick, I like to keep my post G rated.lol. We are talking here about pixeldollies imitating real life. And mod-creators like to make mods to imitate that life more, in ways EA never intended because they want to keep their games PG. But real life isn't PG. That's why we have InTeen etc for sims2.

As for the smoking. I can't wait for Pescado or any of the other talented programmers around to come up with this, complete with cancers and all. Film noir, galore! I'm extremely late to this conversation. And forgive me for resurrecting old threads. But can anyone tell me why they did away with baby/toddler baths?

And I'm assuming along with that the baby changing tables? And the logic behind bikes and cars passing through each other???? I can somewhat understand the reasoning behind the lack of medical facilities for actual sick Sims but the others just seem very 'preemptive,' paranoid, and a bit out of hand in my opinion. What was so offensive about the quick spin animations of changing a baby or toddler? And the bathing thing could have been left in with a few minor tweaks and adjustments so as not to offend the most conservative of simmers out there. The cars passing through bikes thing completely throws me for a loop though.

I don't understand the reason behind that one at all. I think smoking is gross too.and I am watching my mother's health deteriorate because she won't stop. BUT in a game? Well, I have some sims that would be smokers if they were real people, whether I like it or not.

So I would welcome a mod. There just to be a marijuana growing mod on Sims 2 and I used that too. I had a young hippie criminal who grew the stuff and sold it, making lots of money. It suited her. And I don't use drugs either.nor condone it.

I teach my kids not to smoke and use drugs. I probably wouldn't like it if EA put such things in a game.definitely wouldn't let my kids play it. But a modder? I would love it. BTW, SWG had drugs in the game. They had enough negative affects that I don't think it was such a bad thing.

I was a 30+ years smoker, stopped Jan 1, 2009 and haven't looked back. I never did the smoking thing in Sims 2 although I had some deco cigs and ashtrays for my game. I haven't grabbed any of those deco items for Sims 3 so far. SWG was an awesome game. Good old spice!!

Very profitable too!!

Torrent Scan Xl Professional. Good old spice!! Very profitable too!! Lol I never used the smoking stuff in Sims 2 either but not to say I wouldn't in Sims 3 if it suited a sim. My game is a little grittier now. SWG is a good game.and you can still play it if you want. It is more sandboxy than any MMO out there.

K well I have stated In previous post That I don't mind helping where Is needed. I been putting out a ton of weed Items as of lately. I'm trying to get the ball rolling on this. This seems like a pretty easy mod for the most part. With the dazed effect times x100 change the names to high slightly buzzed ect. Add that to the bong change the bubble effects to smoke. I been looking into It.

Just need someone with blender exp to make a few objects. I can work on the traits and add those to the items.
